Sarah0000 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Any ideas for something that would be fun for a four year old who is bored with the usual cvc, silent e, common phonograms spelling apps? I'm looking for something that doesn't require me to enter spelling words and that's visual with a game feel, not things like crossword puzzles. For instance, he likes an app called Hairy Phonics where you save the little hairies by building bridges with phonograms to spell a given word, but the words are way too easy now. Or any other ideas? I'm really just looking for anything fun for him to play with at will that is self correcting just so he gets some spelling and word building influence in his day. Quote
Dmmetler Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Spellodrome gets pretty hard, and is a head-to-head game against other people. It requires a subscription, but I think you can do a 1 week free trial. DD liked it between the ages of 5-8 or so, and it definitely improved her typing speed. Quote
