Happy Easter!

Ugh I don't know if I'm going to bed or not before Mass lol. We were all quite sluggish Saturday and took naps or slept in. We dyed eggs late at night and I just finished ironing clothing for church. I don't know where dh put some of the candy, but I think he has his own plans for that so I'll let him deal with that. Hope we can make it out the door in time. Hoping to have a mostly relaxing Sunday. Dh found out last week that the school where he works is closed Monday so that means he doesn't have any reason to work Sun. night which is rare.

Happy Easter!

I didn't get up after my "nap" last night.  :/  I woke up at 7:something and remembered I hadn't done the bunny gig yet!  Yikes!  The kitchen was horrific.  Couldn't clear away the egg coloring and baking mess until I cleared out the sink.  Couldn't do that until I put away the clean dishes.  LOL.  I actually enjoy cleaning, so that did not bother me.  :)  It feels great to be able to see my kitchen surfaces again.

Got the baskets together and "hid" the eggs before the kids got up.

I have some work to do before I go to church.  So I decided to go to 11am church instead of 9am as previously planned.

The list:

  • Clean kitchen.  [done]
  • Bunny work.  [done]
  • Breakfast.  [done]
  • Work.
  • Church.
  • Lunch with the aunties.
  • Get niece's birthday gifts ready.
  • Visit the grandparents.
  • Do folks' taxes.
  • Come back home and work in the night.

Made breakfast but we had to rush to church and then ended up picking a different service/different location because we were running late. DD took off a shoe and ds was supposed to bring it to the car but forgot. During church I was looking for her shoe and standing in the rain searching through the car. Had a terrible dining experience in which the food was not good or accurate for what you would expect to get and we ended up leaving after a few bites and a talk with the manager (no charge). The staff didn't do a great job of listening, either (got the drink order wrong). We were all pretty down about this plus the rain. Next restaurant stop had a long wait time so we passed. Finally, third time was a charm. Great food (exactly what we were hoping for from the first place) and good service. Ended on a happy note. Found dd's shoe when we got home lol.

Want to make deviled eggs, but these eggs are so hard to peel. I'll get to it eventually lol.
