Chris in VA Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Ds just asked me to iron a suit jacket and pants for him. Grrr. Had I known he needed that, I'd have taken it to the cleaners. No time for that now. Can a suit jacket be pressed at home? Any tips? I don't have a steam iron, just a regular one (well, the steam doesn't work). Quote
Swtonscrappn Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 Yes you can iron a suit jacket at home. Be aware of any pleats on it and watch that you don't distort the lining (mostly where it meets the outer shell of the jacket). Use a press cloth (or a flour cloth towel) between the iron and the fabric so it doesn't leave shines on the fabric. Make sure the heat setting is the right temp for the fabric type...not to hot. Swtonscrappn Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 If you would like to steam it you could put it in a small bathroom, turn the shower on as hot as it will go and close the bathroom door. Give it 15-20 min. This works on a less wrinkly jacket. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk Quote
