hornblower Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Ds is doing a free trial right now (the assessment part) but we're a bit confused about the format after. Do the course lessons have any video or is it just a printed step by step explanation of how to do a problem that you read? And in the actual lessons when you work on a problem does it mark right away or do you have to do a bunch of questions and then get marked at the end? Thx Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
laundrycrisis Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 You know right away if you got it wrong. There are no videos like Khan Academy has, but there are interactive explanations on the screen. No moving video and no sound is part of what makes it great for DS1 - he is distracted and shut down by video and audio. 1 Quote
VANURSEPRAC Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Following.......I have an online friend who swears by ALEKS. And her kids received NMF. But I have not tried the sample yet. Curious Quote
hornblower Posted March 25, 2016 Author Posted March 25, 2016 Thanks! Ds really prefers a video lesson. He was using TT but the precalc doesn't have automatic marking and that's the other thing he really wants. I think he'll have to choose. He's considering Derek Owens too... Unless anyone knows of something that has video and automatic marking for precalculus and/or trigonometry? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
