G5052 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Last year 'bout this time my oldest decided on community college versus other opportunities. We quickly got him admitted and put in a scholarship application the day before it was due. And we were pleasantly surprised in May when he was awarded their second highest merit scholarship, which has been a great help this year. So we just got the 2016-2017 application in. It's due next Friday (April 1), but we're being organized for once (haha!). Anyway, if yours is planning on community college or even remotely thinking about it, now may be the time to get it in. Their deadlines tend to be later, but that doesn't mean that there isn't money available. Many community college scholarship are need-based, but not all. And every community college financial aid officer I've talked to says that money goes unclaimed every year. Don't wait! 4 Quote

(DS is working on one of those essays this weekend, LOL!) Quote
