Dmmetler Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 My 11 yr old is starting to experiment with makeup, and I remember how much I loved the Avon lady stopping by and leaving a few samples along with the catalogs at her age, which I could then experiment with. Is there anywhere to just buy a bunch of assorted little samples for her to play with? (I was actually thinking about this today when I was trying to find things to hide in Easter eggs...maybe next year!). Quote
MSNative Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Ask around for reps in your area. Arbonne, Younique, Avon, etc. They will probably be very willing to give you or sell you samples at a very small fee. Quote
Arcadia Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I get my free samples from Macy's, Bloomingdale and Nordstrom cosmetic counters. I have weirdly sensitive skin and end up with travel size samples from Chanel, Estee Lauder, Christian Dior, Lancome. I had from Clarins, Bare Minerals and MAC but I didn't like those enough to buy. My friend bought a makeup kit in those open up sliding box (makeup studio?) from Sephora for her daughters. Quote
crazyforlatin Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Sephora gives out free samples. I couldn't decide between 2 concealers and the lady gave me free color samples. Quote
Carol in Cal. Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Nordstrom is doing a whole bunch of gifts with purchase right now for cosmetics. If there is something you like this is your chance to get some free stuff for your DD at the same time. Personally I don't wear eye shadow, so DD got all my 'free gift with purchase' Lancôme eye shadow that I got by buying lipstick at that time of the year. She had the most expensive make up in her high school, LOL, and it was free. 1 Quote
Leonana Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 You could try a subscription box. I subscribe to Ipsy, and I get five samples for $10 per month. They have skincare too, but you can choose makeup only in your profile choices, I believe. Wet n Wild is a very affordable drugstore brand, but surprisingly the quality of a lot of their products is good. Hard Candy has some good products also. The drugstore makeup companies have stepped up their game in the last few years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
