Hey, where did all the Whole 30 people go? Am I the only one still around?

So I started January 1. I do Whole 30 plus peas, the stevia in my protein shake, and the tiny amount of sugar in my coconut milk. Still no weight loss, although I have felt better enough to work out 39 days since Feb. 1.

Other improvements:

-The last two months have had signs of improvement in my low (and untreated) estrogen levels.

-My period the last two months was one day shorter and about 40% lighter. I don't know what this means. I do know that in the past thyroid problems made it heavier.

-I've had two colds, but instead of being in bed for a few days with each of them, the symptoms were mostly from the neck up. This is what I remember colds being like before having kids screwed up my health. It's so nice to not get achey and barely able to function from something that just makes other people sniffle. I'm guessing that my immune system must be working better.

-I don't seem to get nearly as sore as before from my workouts, but that might be from working out much more consistenly that I have in a long time.

My big dissappointed is the lack of weight loss. I am trying to encourage myself with concentrating on the other health improvements. I've been on the chronic illness rollercoaster for nine years now. I'm hoping that after enough healing my body may reach a point where I can lose weight without a big problem. (Often attempts to lose weight have made my insomnia come roaring back.)

Maybe they got tired of me posting in their threads.  :smash:

Did you read the thread abut only eating 12 hours a day? That's one that can easily be combined with Whole30. I'm sorry you haven't lost weight. I lost the most weight with Insanity.

I finished my Whole30 the end of January but mostly stuck with it through mid February. I lost 6-8 pounds (my lowest weight since before my last baby) and enough inches to be down a clothing size, my skin was clear and amazing, very little problems with my legs itching (previously a nightly occurrence), dandruff cleared up, allergies disappeared, easier period, more energy, no headaches, no bloating, clear thinking, I felt great!

Now, a month later, I'm back to many of my old ways of eating (which really aren't all that terrible) and I feel awful. I wake up congested and sneezing, my face is broke out, I'm up a couple of pounds, I'm exhausted, my mood is all over the place, and my skin is dry and itchy. I think it's time for Whole30 round 3.

I started Whole30 for Lent and figured since Lent is 46 I might as well add another two weeks and make it an even 60.  So I'm on Day 44 today.

I know you're not supposed to weigh yourself, but I'm down 23 pounds!  I'm very tall so you can't really see it yet, but when I get tempted by something, I think about that loss and know I can keep going till the end.

Pinterest has been a life saver during this challenge.  I have experienced some hardcore food boredom this last week.   So I hop on Pinterest and hunt down some interesting new recipes.

Dh has started eating better and going to the gym 5 days a week after seeing my weight loss.  He's not following Whole30 but he is making vastly better food choices.  So I'm getting the added bonus of a healthier Dh!

I'm still here!  I started Jan. 4 and am on Day 81.  Things are going well still and I am planning on never going back to eating dairy or grains. This from someone who thought the 4 basic food groups were chips, cheeseburgers, beer, and mozzarella sticks.

Still losing weight (although not nearly as fast), still feeling great.  I do need to stop eating so many nuts though (cashews are my weakness and I fear the reason the scale has slowed down) and I need to start exercising.
