Chris in VA Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 The DonkeyBy G. K. Chesterton When fishes flew and forests walkedAnd figs grew upon thorn,Some moment when the moon was bloodThen surely I was born. With monstrous head and sickening cryAnd ears like errant wings,The devil’s walking parodyOn all four-footed things. The tattered outlaw of the earth,Of ancient crooked will;Starve, scourge, deride me: I am dumb,I keep my secret still. Fools! For I also had my hour; One far fierce hour and sweet:There was a shout about my ears,And palms before my feet. 18 Quote

Guest Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 (edited) I may be the only Christian who dislikes this sort of thing - I think it distracts focus from the actual foreshadowing of prophecy and purpose of the first triumphal entry. *wince* It was a nice thought sharing and hopefully blesses others though. Hosanna! ETA - lessened the killjoy vibe  Edited March 20, 2016 by Arctic Mama Quote
