TheAttachedMama Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 (edited) I feel like there are probably a million posts on this question, but for some reason a google search is not really bringing anything up. Can anyone compare and contrast these two books? (the series by Hakim vs. the series by SWB). What age ranges would these be good for? Do you use them as a history supplement or a science supplement? (Or for something else maybe?) Edited March 19, 2016 by TheAttachedMama Quote
Peplophoros Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 My middle school student just finished the Hakim series. He loved it! He read this instead of doing science for the first 2 quarters of the year (he's now doing Apologia's anatomy). Quote
Pronghorn Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 The Hakim books are a much lower level and can stand alone. The Story of Western Science is more of a guide to other scientific literature of days of yore. It would be for high school or above and would be best combined with reading the science articles and books that are discussed. 1 Quote
