JumpyTheFrog
http://www.newschannel5.com/story/17796991/nc5-investigates-state-lawmakers-ghost-voting I was surprised to see this is allowed and common. Why should state lawmakers be allowed to lie and mark people present that are absent and then vote for them? It's so common some have sticks they use to reach the voting buttons of others because they don't want to have to walk over to steal their vote. Farrar
John Oliver had a thing about this. It was pretty shocking. Especially the thing where the lawmakers had sticks to do it or where they raced each other to get the votes. John Oliver also had a thing on special districts that was pretty shocking. Dh and I were like what the what the...? We think of ourselves as pretty informed but those were both things we knew little about.
Ailaena
I wasn't that annoyed at first since I can see myself running late during an important vote and asking somebody to vote for me, but I didn't consider that they were getting paid for being there even when they weren't. Still not terribly surprised. Just ftr, I believe they should always be there, doing their job, minus extenuating circumstances.

It sounded like some people were just stealing votes.
