rutamattatt Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I'm looking ahead for curriculum for my DS (will be 12 and in "6th" grade). I feel pretty good about most everything, but I am looking for recommendations when it comes to a science. He is really, really interested in studying anatomy. We have used Apologia General Science, and while I like it well enough, I'd like to see more options. In an ideal world, I'd like something with a good overview of human anatomy that won't overwhelm a somewhat reluctant reader and that has some hands on "stuff" to do. (Also in an ideal world, I'd like my kitchen to be clean right now. It's good to have a goal…) Any suggestions? Quote
UCF612 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 We plan to use Quark Chronicles for anatomy next year. But seeing as we haven't used it yet I can't speak for quality. Just an idea for you to look into. Quote

MinivanMom Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 One of the most enjoyable things my dd used for anatomy in 6th grade was the DK Human Body Coloring Book along with a nice set of colored pencils. It took her about 2 months to work her way through the book as she labeled and colored body parts. It is fairly detailed, but not overwhelming for a middle schooler. 2 Quote
