I came home to dd, 16, surrounded by a small mound of Kleenex refusing to tell me what happened at school. I would cut out my heart to make life easier for my three kids. But no one ever wants that... I just am supposed to be a silent observer. At least I made deep friend raviolis for dinner. That did help. But it's never enough.

By respecting her, I'm sure you're helping more than you can imagine.  :grouphug:  (Not saying never ask, of course... but I do feel for you and want to encourage you.)

No one tells you that the hardest part of parenting is letting kids have their own pain as teens growing up. Been through this twice before and this time is not easier. Honestly, this is why I didn't have ten kids. I love toddlers and preschoolers so much but I am just not good with teens.

It doesn't sound like you're not good with teens. It's just that their problems hurt our hearts waaaay more than little preschool problems.

You're a good teen mama or else it wouldn't break your heart that your dd's heart is breaking.

That was really nice to hear right now.
