UCF612 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I want to get a swim suit to do laps in our pool. I want a one piece. I'm around a size 16 give or take. Best places to check? If I order online can I still return if it doesn't fit? I have this feeling in my head that you can't return swim suits. Not sure why I think that or if that is at all true. Quote
Carol in Cal. Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Miraclesuit from Nordstrom is both flattering and returnable. I've heard good things about Lands End suits, but have not seen them personally. Quote

zoobie Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Costco has Miraclesuits for around $25 that go up to size 18. They're returnable. 2 Quote
gingersmom Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) www.swimoutlet.com For swimming laps you really want a chlorine resistant bathing suit or it won't last very long. Edited March 15, 2016 by gingersmom 1 Quote

PeachyDoodle Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I buy all my swimsuits from Lands' End. They tend to run large on me (I'm a 14 usually) so you might want to order down. They are well-known for their liberal return policy as well, and their water fitness suits are great at resisting chlorine. I used to swim 3-4 times/week, and a suit could last me a couple of years. 1 Quote
umsami Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Land's End basic tank is great for laps. Wears well. 1 Quote

Unless I could pick up a $25 one, I would not purchase a Miracle Suit for daily lap swimming. I'd get more of a utility suit with racer back straps. Not sure I'd spend extra on a special chlorine resistant one either. But that's just me - i have a drawer of swimsuits because I get wet a lot. The Miracle Suits I invested in for vacation or when company's come to the beach. 1 Quote
UCF612 Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 I can use beach suit too so I'll look at the Miraclesuits for ordinary wear and the other places for a lap swimming suit. I knew I'd get great answers here! Thanks all. Quote
FriedClams Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 For plus, KMart has had the best normal suits, tankinis, ava separates for the last few years. And CHEAP too. 1 Quote
Spryte Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I adore my suits from modcloth. They use employees as models and you can see them on lots of different, real bodies. Well made. Great suits! Then again, I'm not a lap swimmer so no idea about special swimsuit needs there. 1 Quote
GAPeachie Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I finally bought Land's End this year. Separates but they have one pieces. I went to a Sears that had a Land's End unit inside of it. Best suit I've had in forever! I'm in the process of losing weight but when I get out of plus size, I'll still use them. 1 Quote
