Tanaqui Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I'd say this is all a step in the right direction, but then I read about what they're stepping away from and... well, I'm still a bit doubtful that these are actually good places for kids. Maybe it's the cynic in me, but I can't help but wonder if it's more butt-covering and less meaningful change in the school cultures. 1 Quote
NorthwestMom Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Success Academy is a nasty piece of work. I like small elements of what these charters are doing, but I would not ever put my child there or recommend them to anyone. 1 Quote
Tanaqui Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Success Academy is a nasty piece of work. No arguments here. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I have serious qualms about any place that puts its students in bright orange uniforms. This may seem trivial, and no doubt it is, but I've never seen anything that dispels my initial impression that those colors look like prison jumpsuits and they treat the kids accordingly. 1 Quote
