SparklyUnicorn Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 There was a woman on here...I want to say at one point she lived in Hawaii, she moved a lot because her spouse was in the military. She was Native American or party Native American. I cannot remember her name for the life of me. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? Quote

Lady Florida. Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) You're thinking of Mrs. Mungo. I don't know why she left. She's active on facebook. Her sister was here too. She was Sis for a long time then changed her name to Startibartfast. I think that's how you spell it. It's from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. She doesn't post here anymore either. SparklyUnicorn Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 Yes that is the person I was thinking of! Oh ok. Well Mrs. M if you read this, I was thinking about you. 3 Quote

For some reason I did not know that, but I do recall those two names as well. 1 Quote
Debbi in Texas Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Wish everyone could just stick around. I miss them too. 5 Quote
Tiramisu Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I have a vague memory that due to her dh's military career, she couldn't be in the public spotlight. Er.... That sounds really weird. I can't get it out right. Sorry. 1 Quote
Guest Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Yeah, there are a bunch of "old timers" I never see anymore. I miss Mrs. Mungo. Heck, I even miss our most entertaining trolls. What I wouldn't give for a fine tale about a lady with 17 kids and ten bedrooms...or was it bedroom's... 24 Quote

The long discussions about ages and names and where everyone should sleep in her huge house with her doctor husband! :) 9 Quote
Garga Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 (edited) There was a poster (whom I will not name) who always had the problem that you were having, only it was worse for her. I'd sit back when I saw her posts and think, "Ok, here's where it turns out that NAME has dealt with this exact same problem, only for her, it was even worse than what is posted here." Your MIL is a problem? Hers is the MIL from hell. Your husband lost his job? Her husband lost his job for 20 years! Your public school system giving you a hassle? She had to go to court with her system! Well, maybe not that exaggerated, but she did seem to have ALL the problems that anyone mentioned in a post. I am not sure whether any one else noticed it or if it was just me and I don't want to name her name, but I really miss seeing her posts for the entertainment value. Gosh, my memories of this are far worse than yours. Traumatic and life changing, even. 37 Quote

Garga Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Gosh, my memories of this are far worse than yours. Traumatic and life changing, even. Yup! It was exactly like that! On one hand I'd roll my eyes whenever she posted and on the other hand I loved seeing what she could come up with. 8 Quote
Chris in VA Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I am going to ask a dangerous question--dangerous because the person may still be on here. Who was it who once said her infant (waaayyy under a year--maybe 2 mo?) could sit on her lap and play computer games with her? 3 Quote
brehon Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Oh I remember her! The long discussions about ages and names and where everyone should sleep in her huge house with her doctor husband! :) And she had to consult her pastor about seemingly everything and there was some weirdness with a golf cart, right? 1 Quote

SparklyUnicorn Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 LOL you all crack me up. No clue why Mrs. M popped up in my mind. The other people mentioned, for some reason don't ring a bell. Quote
Kathryn Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I was just wondering about Mrs. Mungo yesterday. I haven't been around a whole lot lately so I didn't know if I'd just missed her. 1 Quote

Guest Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I think a lot of "old" posters have been scarce, or else I just haven't stumbled on the posts. I haven't seen Tibbie recently. I haven't even seen Albeto. 1 Quote
Anne in CA Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I was also wondering about Albeto. Didn't realize Tibbie hadn't been around. 1 Quote

umsami Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Is her message box full? Send her a PM and see if she'll pop in. :) Quote
