JessReplanted Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Has anyone ever used this as pre-algebra? I think I need to back up with my son. We use CLE and it is just moving too fast for him. Quote
Critterfixer Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I love it. I agree that it is a supplement, or good for review. It isn't pre-algebra -well, the first few books are. By book 10 you are getting into the quadratic formula and so forth. But those first few books are just wonderful for taking the fear out of math. Book 1 has the best explanation for understanding operations with negative numbers that I have ever encountered. Because the problems in the Key to Books are made to be easy to solve, working through the books can give a child the opportunity to get comfortable with operations and also to gain confidence at the same time. Very good option if you need to slow down and practice in one spot for a while. 3 Quote
