My "issue" with it is that I am not Christian and I'm afraid to spend money on it to find out a lot of it won't be something we would do as a family. Oh, and I don't have a library here to check it out. It did get me thinking though about trying to bring in traditions and rituals throughout the year. What are some things you do as a family to celebrate the every day and also special occasions? We do birthdays, Eid, Ramadan, a secular Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years. Thanks! Quote
Free Indeed Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 While it is definitely from a Christian perspective I think there are great ideas there that are not necessarily faith based. She divides it out by month- traditions or books or movies every month. Hikes, special meals, special outings, family celebrations, that sort of thing. I really loved the book and the message of family. Quote
