Dmmetler Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 DD11 has been on the schedule to present at the Texas Rattlesnake Festival this coming weekend since they invited her in September, but the schedule of actual talks was posted this morning. She is speaking on the mainstage at 1:00 on Saturday and 3:00 on Sunday, and presenting to the kids at 11:30 both days. She's excited. I'm more scared than she is. She'll also have free snake crafts and an adopt a snake station to raise funds for ASP in the kids' area both days. If anyone is in the Houston area, isn't scared of snakes, and would like to stop by, we'd appreciate some friendly faces. http://www.texasrattlesnakefestival.com/speakers-and-presentations.html 14 Quote
Starr Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 That's exciting! "Most recognized speakers in the area" There's no stopping your girl. And we can all adopt a snake as well. :svengo: 2 Quote

And we can all adopt a snake as well. :svengo: Don't worry-they're stuffed :). There will be real snakes there, though-a couple of groups are bringing education animals, and there will be rattlesnakes and other native herps on display (captive animals from zoos, education programs, and universities). Rachel Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 My husband is in Houston today, he really, really hates snakes though. Good luck to her! 2 Quote
