Ottakee
I am using The Daily Bible and The Daily Bible Devotional this year. It is in chronological order and has a daily Bible Reading and then the Devotional picks out a key verse or 2 from that reading and has a short devotional thought on it as well as a challenge questions. Every day I read the scriptures and the devotional and then have been "journaling" of sorts. I write down the date, scripture references read, choose a key verse to write down in the journal (and highlight in the Bible) and then sometimes I write down a prayer request, thought for the day, etc..........and sometimes not. It is super simple and easy but I have never done any journaling before. The other thing I am doing is LISTENING to the entire Bible on CD in the car when I am driving by myself. The CDs are dramatized which is very nice but are in order of the Bible so it doesn't pair up exactly but has been extremely helpful. Sometimes I will be a bit ahead in the reading and then when I hear it on the CD it brings up a point that I never thought about or vice versa. This system has made getting through the genealogies and law books much easier this year. How are you doing? Any hints? Tips? Challenges? Slache
I'm not attempting it in a year. I always feel like a failure when I do. This year I'm reading it alongside Wilmington's Guide To The Bible and I'll finish when I finish. I read the commentary first, then the Bible, so I can compare what I'm reading to the actual scripture rather than what I remember from scripture. Last year I read the Bible in 90 days along with a few other hive members. It. was. awesome. I had a back injury that had me in bed for hours so it was basically read the Bible or watch Buffy. I read it chronologically because I felt that made the most sense in such a short spurt. Are you doing memory work or a commentary or anything? I didn't do anything extra because of time constraints but this time I'm having fun.
Entropymama
I'm halfway through Exodus. But I'm not stressed. I'll get through it. The OT always takes longer for me.
Ottakee
My Daily Bible has a bit of commentary in it and I have a few references sitting out of I want to check something out. I am not doing any scripture memory right now. I was going to but quickly got bogged down.

And an Anki deck if you Anki. :)
