SKL Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 I would rather tackle Friday than do Thursday again. :) I just cleaned out my kid's school bag. Oh my gosh that was scary. And foul. I don't even know what some of those substances were, nor do I want to know. I think I will run the bag through the washer this weekend. I wrote a school check and did a few other things to hopefully make the morning rush go easier. But now it's 4:17 and I'm probably going to have a really hard time waking up at 6:45. :/ I'll do the list later. 2 Quote
MomtoCandJ Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 (edited) Good morning... I'm officially on spring break :) - clean living room and kitchen- done - laundry- load in washer and dryer - dishes- in dishwasher - fold and put away laundry - get dd1 off bus (1/2 day)- done - help dd1 clean her room (I put together the new bins and rack last night so hopefully this will help reign in the chaos)- put up toy net and put some stuffed critters in it (my goal is to get rid of at least two large totes, rather it be that the toys are put into one of 2 new organization things or donated is to be decided)- ugh I'm trying to break this down so she can manage it herself but she's being a drama queen and I'm not dealing with it well - wait for my mom to get here - call dealership to get tires and brake pads ordered for my car to be put on next week- done - school work- did EAQS and most of critical thinking work sheet - dinner- in crockpot - baths - bedtime routine - anything else I get done- paid bills, took trash to outside can Edited March 4, 2016 by MomtoCandJ 2 Quote
SKL Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Well ... so far nothing is going as planned today. I changed up my room a bit yesterday, so my alarms were not in their usual configuration. In my morning zombie state, I don't know exactly what I did wrong, but I managed to ignore or turn of all 3 alarms, and I woke up at 7:15. (Bus arrives at 7:40.) So I re-set the alarm, rolled over and went back to sleep. Theoretically I might have been able to get the girls washed, dressed, fed, and down there in 25 minutes, but I was not up to it this morning. So I got the kids up and they did their usual putzing. Time was tight as usual. My kid got up to run to the bathroom and cough up some phlegm, and she knocked over her cereal bowl. In the process of cleaning that up, I knocked down her yogurt drink. Sounds like the 3 stooges. So of course then I had to clean the snow and ice off my car. And then the person in front of me decided to stop for a full minute at a stop sign (no other traffic). Sigh. I think they arrived a couple of minutes late, but the school tends to set the clocks a bit slow, so maybe the teacher will overlook it. :/ Back home, I called about signing the kids up for a summer reading class. I was on hold for over 10 minutes, and then they kept me talking for a while. So far I haven't done much work. :/ Today's list: Work in the wee hours. [done] Clean out the School Backpack of Doom. [done] Write school check & pack for kids to turn in. [done] Sleep a few hours. [done] Kids up and ready for school. [done] Drive kids to school. [done] Clean the kitchen and some clutter. [done] Pet care. [done] Call and register the kids for summer reading skills program. [done] Update kids' calendar. [done] Work. Prepare summary of continuing education for 2013-present. Some kid paperwork? Laundry? Call chiropractor / make appointment? A little exercise. A little reading. Kids' work. May take kid to doctor if she is still struggling in her lungs. Dinner out. 2 old shows on DVD. Read-aloud? Kids to bed. Work. 2 Quote
TammyinTN Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Thank goodness it's Friday! It's been a long week. Cleaned the main floor, unloaded dishwasher and tidied up everything. Tackling bedding, bathrooms and ironing this afternoon and everything should be all caught up! :) Have a great day everyone! 1 Quote
