Luanne Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I'm really trying to get away from thing I know I shouldn't be eating. What are some good snack ideas for someone who has been told they are borderline diabetic. 1 Quote
Tanaqui Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Many diabetics or pre-diabetics find it's helpful to go low-carb. Snacks which are low-carb include eggs, jerky, celery with peanut butter, kale chips. 2 Quote
SparklyUnicorn Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 search for low carb snack ideas...tons and tons of sites out there with interesting snack ideas super easy ones are things like nuts, sunflower seeds, pork rinds (if you happen to like pork rinds), veggies with dip Quote
Carol in Cal. Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Veggie chips. Veggie sticks. Fresh veggies. Bean chips are *OK* if you don't eat too many--lower glycemic index than other types of chips. Cheese sticks. Fennel sticks Celery sticks. Strawberries have lower glycemic index than other fruit but are not low carb. Beef jerky is pretty filling and won't raise your blood sugar, although it is very salty. Make sure to drink plenty of water every time you get hungry, and then wait a few minutes before eating.
