build outdoor stage?

Has anyone built an outdoor stage (or theater) - cheap, simple, flexible? My kids want to put on some plays this summer.

 

I can get pallets (the sturdy kind, with good wood), but I have zero skills. Hubby is willing but busy at work.

 

Kids pretty motivated.

We did. We also built in an indoor one that got  ton of use. The outdoor stage was not as big of a hit because of bugs and rain and the swing set and the scooters and the bikes and oh look a frog... But the indoor stage with curtains - lots and lots of play time.
