braymalena Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 For those who have used Mr. Q's Advanced Science courses, specifically the Anatomy course, did it take you the full year to complete it? I have read that the pacing is 36 weeks and 3 days a week. And it looks like the 2nd day is mostly review of the questions done on the 1st day. There are also weeks dedicated to review and test taking. With that in mind and in your experience, do you think it is possible to finish a course in a semester? I suppose anything is possible, but I guess I am asking if the curriculum is 'light' enough to squeeze it into a semester without over burdening a kid. ;) My dd will be doing a fine arts co-op 1 day a week, so she will have 4 days a week to do all her other subjects. We are planning on her doing a semester of Chemistry and a semester of Anatomy, and at this point it feels so much simpler to have an already made curriculum than to piece together my own! Oh... And let me clarify, I will probably have her do RS4K's semester high school Chemistry course. I won't be trying to squeeze 2 Mr. Q Adv courses into a year. ;) RS4K is 10 units, but I will be adding other books to round off the semester. Thank you! I appreciate any insight you might have! :) Quote
