SquirrellyMama Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 My dd was sick 2 weeks ago with a stomach bug. She was better for 2 days, and then was sick with bronchitis for which she's still on an antibiotic for another day. She was doing better, but yesterday started having ear pain. Today, she's droopy, feverish, and getti g what I think is a sinus/ear infection. My dh wants me to take her back to the doctor. I'd rather wait until she is at least done with the round of antibiotics. Why does she keep getting sick? This reminds me of when I had mono in high school. I couldn't fight anything. Taking her or not isn't about money. I don't like taking them when the doctor can't do anything for them. We do have a chiropractor appointment tomorrow. Would you wait until antibiotics are done before going the doctor's office. Kelly Quote
Mom2Five Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 If she has a fever on the meds id prob take her now or at least make a call with the new symptoms. 1 Quote
Ethel Mertz Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Another vote for taking her in or at least calling. It may be that she needs to be on a different antibiotic. Quote
Jan in SC Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 No- our ped says 72 after starting antibiotic if not better, or if worse, come back for recheck and different antibiotic. Quote
SquirrellyMama Posted February 23, 2016 Author Posted February 23, 2016 Ok, I called the doctor. They said to get Sudafed and Motrin instead of Tylenol and Dimetapp, which iscwhat we've been using. I'm supposed to let them know if it works or not. Kelly Quote
