Um_2_4 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 So, Dh is trying to help a family member back home find a long lost son who came to canada/america and they lost contact many years ago. Is anyone good at finding people? I found last known address, but no facebook, land line, professional liscenses or other social media I can find. All I am getting is those "pay to find" sites. Anyone have any tricks?? We are pretty sure they are in a certain state. I even called the last known apt complex, but of course they can not confirm if he still lives there, but I left my contact info "in case". His mom is hitting 70+ and just wants to know if he is ok and some things happened in the family that she wants him to know about (lost a brother, etc.). Quote

Tsuga Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 LinkedIn because you can narrow it down by job and city and get to them through other people. 1 Quote
73349 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 You might try to go laterally--find the website/fb page of his alma mater; look for old friends (especially those with unusual names) he may be in contact with, etc. 1 Quote
Scarlett Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I have found people by looking at the people who lived in the same house with them at various times. Then search two names together to see what pops up. I found all sorts of stuff out about my stepson's step dad this way. (and failed to find info he claimed was true which makes me really suspicious of him) 1 Quote
Scarlett Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I also found out who my then husband was having an affair with and tracked down her then husband. I found the husband's mother first and she had her son call me. I am actually a pretty good detective on line. :) 4 Quote
