displace Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I'm using snap type for DS for most math papers now (thank you snap type, you have changed my life!). But, for more complicated regrouping addition/subtraction problems he can't do them mentally. I tried typing problems into Mod math but can't figure out how to change problems for regrouping. Unless there's a way to do it or draw on it? We only have the free version but I will buy it if it allows writing on type numbers. He can re type numbers to show regrouping unless we're adding 10 ones to the ones column or ten tens. Can mod math do that or can a drawing app type or a different math app allow for drawing? Sorry it's so confusing but I'm also on my phone and can't explain it either 😠Quote
Heathermomster Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) Do you have the most up to date version of ModMath? The version that I have allows you to strike through the already typed numbers and add superscripts while regrouping. With the superscripts, the numbers can be two digits as well. You can even adjust the placement of the superscripts. It is hard to explain. Edited February 20, 2016 by Heathermomster 1 Quote

I'll look for it. Quote

BooksandBoys Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I have the free version of ModMath.. Push on the n to strike through a number and then push the n[] to add the superscript. Then, if you need to change the superscript a, as in multi digit multiplication, you can delete the supers and the strike-throughout and add new ones. ModMath has changed our lives. Quote
