frogger Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) I have not yet been able to watch a sample Landry class because they don't load or the audio doesn't work, etc. I have checked settings and uninstalled and re installed blackboard, etc. Our internet speed is way more than adequate and we have issues with no other programs so it has to have something to do with the app or something on their side. I'm curious if anyone has had difficulty with the blackboard platform or technology issues overall at Landry Academy. Is it just the sample classes and their live platform works fine? I just hate to pay the big bucks to sign up for a class that will be nothing but a headache or my son will miss because of technology issues. Edited February 17, 2016 by frogger Quote
melmichigan Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 We dealt with this earlier in the year. What platform are you using? Quote
frogger Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) I'm using Google Chrome for the browser and Windows 10 for an OS. Was it mainly the sample classes or did you have problems when you went live also? Edited February 17, 2016 by frogger Quote
melmichigan Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 We had problems with the class toward the end of last year. Our problem stemmed from a Safari permissions problem. You may wish to search for the old thread, as there were many work arounds for various systems. I'm not familiar with Chrome of Windows 10. Quote
frogger Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 I did find your old thread. I just have one more question if you don't mind?. If you had problems were you able to watch the recorded class if you missed it and did it affect the child's grade? In other words, did they work with you if there was a problem? Quote
TarynB Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 The samples work fine for me. Try a different browser. I keep Firefox and Internet Explorer both active and up to date on my laptop just for this reason. Some websites are wonky in one browser and work fine in the other. Quote
texasmama Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 My sons are currently taking a Landry class using Chrome and Windows 10, and they have had no issues. Quote
