moonlight Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Is there a math program that is completely online or computer based? I thought Teaching Textbooks is it, but I see that the work has to be filled out in a workbook. I would like something my DS9 can do on the computer and get immediate feedback if he gets a problem wrong. I don't just want a supplementary program, but a full program. Is there something out there like what I am describing? Price is not an issue. Thanks! Quote
AggieMama Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Front rowed.com has a program worth looking into that's free. I would also check out khan academy. 1 Quote
smoore530 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 It's my understanding that TT can be done entirely on the computer. Here is TT's explanation of the workbook (from their website): "The main advantage of owning the consumable workbook (in addition to the CDs) is that it prevents students from having to copy down each problem on a separate sheet, which saves them time and helps them to avoid errors. Having a workbook also allows students to continue doing assignments even if their computer malfunctions or they need to work away from home. Another advantage is that the workbook contains written summaries of each lecture, so students can just skim over the summary instead of re-watching the lecture if they forget a key point. Finally, the workbook allows you, the parent, to view the entire course’s content at a glance. Many parents value the ability to see all the problems in a lesson printed on a page, so they can pick select problems for the student to work on." Quote

Peaceful Isle Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Thanks!! Anybody that uses TT know if it can be done entirely on a computer? My son used TT a few years ago and we never needed the workbook. It was all done on the computer :) 2 Quote
