I am trying to learn to cook with tempeh but having trouble figuring what to get.  Sometimes I am not sure if it is tempeh I'm looking at or tofu or some variation?  Does anyone have a particular brand they like?  And how do you cook it?

Thanks!

Trader Joes has tempeh. I like the Indonesian ones a lot more but I can't find them here. I cut them into small strips and stir fry or I just heat it up and eat.

What I love and miss eating is Gado Gado, a traditional Indonesian dish

ETA:

I think Whole Foods has tempeh as well but I usually buy from Trader Joes.

You can probably find it at any regular grocery store.

Typically I cut it in cubes and fry it with peppers and onions, then add tomatoes or something like a fajita sauce (we like Frontier). We like it this way over rice, in tortillas, or cold over salads.
