Was it the style of humor? The quirky devil and his interaction with the boy? The math? Some other aspect?

We love the number devil at our house, but I've never found anything else quite like it. Here are a few others that my kids liked that share at least some aspects of the book:

Phantom Tollbooth

Penrose the Mathematical Cat

Math Jokes 4 Mathy Folks

I would also love to know if there's a book very much like The Number Devil.

He said he liked all of that. And he loves math.
