ElizabethB
A lot of people were directly downloading the "Sight Words by Sound" PDF and not going to my sight word page, so I made the document more complete. It now has why to teach sight words phonetically and instructions on how to teach them. I have a bit of space at the end to add more info, and if anyone who uses this document sees anything I'm missing, let me know. There are a lot of people using this document, so I want to make it as complete and useful as possible. (On the if you can't beat 'em, join 'em plan. While I would love to see them no longer taught in schools, I can at least try to get as many people as possible teaching them with phonics.) Thanks! http://www.thephonicspage.org/On%20Reading/Resources/SightWordsbySoundNew.pdf

ReadingMama1214
Thank you! I've been trying to teach DD the sight words phonetically when we come across them in reading. This is really helpful in doing just that!
