Addiebelle
What other read alouds would you recommend? We just finished the last book of the series, and my kids found it absolutely riveting. Any other series/books/authors that are similar?
sunshineslp
I can't help but I'm so glad to read this! I've been wanting to buy these for my kids but my boys are 6 and 8. Do you think they're too young for the content? Homeschooling mama of 4... Preschool 3, preschool 4, 1st, and 2nd:)
Laura Corin
Roald Dahl has a similar twist to his humour.
RootAnn
My kids think The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series by Maryrose Wood is better. Be warned - it isn't finished yet!
madteaparty
We also loved tnose books but I think they are fairly unique in their...absurdist bent? Anyway, nothing really in common but around the same time we loved The Underland Chronicles.

Tanaqui
Hm. You may like The Incorrigible Children of... wherever, I forget the rest of the title. I, personally, am also a fan of Whales on Stilts, but with the footnotes it may not be ideal for reading aloud. How old are your kids, and what other books have they enjoyed?

They are so sad we finished. Hoping to find another good series!
Haiku
Lemony Snicket has another series out called All the Wrong Questions. It starts with Who Could That Be at This Hour?, then Where Did You See Her Last?, and then Shouldn't You Be in School Right Now? My son has really enjoyed them. There may be others to come.
