Prairie~Phlox Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 We have Netflix, I hardly ever watch anything on it, but dh doesn't want to get rid of it. I want to utilize it more in our homeschool, are there any good documentaries worth watching? Quote
HomeAgain Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Depends on the ages of your kids. We like the Cosmos, TED talks, How The States Got Their Shapes, all the animal ones, and a few others. I'm sure if you do a search for the topics you're currently doing you'll find several options. Quote
TechWife Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Yes - we watched a lot of National Geographic Documentaries, TED talks and other documentaries. We also watched the occasional historical fiction movie. Quote
Chris in VA Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 I have forgotten how old your kiddos are, but I like that there are so many foreign films on Netflix, and some good film documentaries. I think The Story of Film is still on there, but I'm not sure. Quote
Ethel Mertz Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 We just finished watching Ken Burns' series on the Civil War. Excellent, though not for young kids (some gruesome pictures/details from Civil War battles). Quote

Yes, these are the show see watch, too. Brain Games is fun, too. And there's one about the microscopic world that was fantastic. Liberty's Kids used to be on, not sure now. Spryte Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 I have all teens, 14 1/2 to almost 18. Then TED Talks! And Cosmos. And lots of documentaries. David Attenborough docs are on, too. Quote
