ElizabethB
Just venting. I finally have time to work on a few things for my phonics website, but everything takes so long to do, especially compared to my estimates! Maybe I am just getting older and slower? My estimates used to be off by 2x, not 10x! On the plus side, a problem I had with my YouTube was fixed in 10 seconds by my 13 year old daughter! :) She fixed my power point aspect ratio problem. She also fixed a problem I kind of knew I had but wasn't too worried about--she made me snazzy thumbnails for my last movie and the next few movies I am working on!! I am much cooler now, they do look a lot better. After reading a few things about YouTube channels, they all say you need snazzy thumbnails, she knows her stuff... Chelle in MO
That's so frustrating! Glad your dd could help!
medawyn
I wonder this daily. I told my mother yesterday it felt like I was picking up the house with a hole in the bucket; everything that went in the bucket just fell out the other end - messier than before. I was hoping it was just life with toddlers, but this doesn't give me a lot of hope... But yay for tech-savvy 13 year olds who can make snazzy thumbnails!
J-rap
If it's computer-related, it always takes me much longer than I ever anticipate!
Spryte
So true. I always double the time estimates, but even then ... Grrrrrrrr. And I love the hole in the bucket analogy.
goldberry
Ha, I thought this was my husband posting! :) I learned after about our first year never to trust his time estimates...
MysteryJen
Yesterday, it was because I had to listen to menus (press 1, press 2) before I could do anything. By the time, I realized I couldn't get my appointment made, I had wasted 20 minutes. And then tried again to get a real person. 40 minutes later, I had made the appointment. Probably the time spent making the appointment will be longer than the appointment itself.

My house was way cleaner with toddlers than it is with a teen and pre-teen. The hole in the bucket seems to have grown.

It takes at least an hour every single time I call the insurance company, even for very simple things.
