MouseBandit Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Hey everyone! I'm re-reading WTM, and have a revised edition; I know there's newer ones now. In this edition, they recommend FLL as the initial grammar text, switching into Rod & Staff in 4th grade. Are these still considered the clearest and (at least for R&S) most rigorous available? Also, in this edition, FLL seems to be a single book. Looking on the classifieds here and amazon, it seems to now be available as multiple books of various levels. Did they just re-print, breaking it into different "grade levels"? Thank you!! MouseBandit Quote
Miss Tick Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Yes, I think the reprint just divided the two books. Good news for you if you like choosing. It sounds like the follow-on program to FLL (ALL) will be available starting this fall, so in 3 or 4 years when I assume your students will be ready for it, perhaps it will be completely available! If not, Rod & Staff or Hake are two commonly mentioned options. 2 Quote
carriede Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I have the original edition of FLL with levels 1 and 2 combined. It's pretty much the same as the current levels 1 and 2 which are now separate books. I bought it used on Amazon and saved a bunch. Levels 3 and 4 are separate books, and each level a teacher book and a student workbook. 1 Quote
