Moxie
Ok, I bought it during their Black Friday sale and have yet to use it. It has literally been on my to-do list since January 1 to "set up PTE". The few low-carb sites I've tried to import from didn't work so I guess I need to do it manually?? I really want to use it! Okra
Plan to eat has a bookmarklet……if you can't find it on the website, then google download bookmarklet for Plan to Eat. Then, whenever you are online and see a recipe you like, you click the bookmarklet and like magic it loads everything onto a recipe card for Plan to eat. You check it, decided what category you want it to be in, click "OK" and then it's added to your recipe book. It has worked for me with all different kinds of websites. If you want to add recipes that are family hand downs that are not online, then yes, you must type everything in manually.
Slache
Sometimes the bookmark thingie isn't perfect and I have to copy and paste from the site. If you friend me you can steal my recipes. I'm mrslubbe and I believe I have close to 100 recipes now. I also recommend building up your staples list.
momacacia
The bulk entry for ingredients works really nicely when import fails. Copy, paste then do a little formatting of needed. PtoE will do all the other formatting.
Lady Florida.
It does better importing from known sites recipes (including blogs). A low carb site should work because recipes are expected, but if it doesn't the bulk entry is really easy. Just switch to bulk entry, and copy and paste the recipe into it. when you switch back you should see that it put everything in the right column. It usually works very well.
