Janeway Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) I used the US edition. I have already used it in the past. I remember being seriously frustrated with the higher levels. I remember having to supplement a lot by the end. Would it be worth it to switch to Standards? And would I just go straight across? Like, if he just finished 5A US edition, would be go in to 5B Standards? Edited to add: I do not not intend to use an HIG. If it relies heavily on a TM, I don't want it. I want an answer key and that is it. Edited February 5, 2016 by Janeway Quote
Targhee Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Singapore has a chart on their website comparing when topics are covered in the different versions - at least they used to. I'm not sure if switching mid-year is the best idea. The answers are in the HIG for standards level. I don't believe you can get them separately. There are a few really hard problems in level 5 - I am glad we used the HIG not only for quick grading but for explanations too. One thing you might consider is sticking with US Ed until you finish 5b then switching into a middle school math program. 1 Quote

I recently read, on the RR website that Standards was going to be phased out in favor of Common Core version. I believe you csn get just an answer key for some, if not all, versions.
