Looking for a year long World Geography Curr.

My daughter is especially interested in learning the Geography of the World this year for 8th grade.  Country names, locations, capitals, features, etc.  

 

I have found flashcards and "fill in" sorts of papers to make a notebook but was really looking for a text to go along.

I made my own 8th grade world geography curriculum last year, but a large part of it was based on Build Your Library's 7th grade world geography course.

I would love to find a good text for this for middle school. Several of the big name companies (Abeka, BJU) have high school geography texts but they are dry as dust. 

 

Build Your Library has a decent course as linked above and it's on my list as a possibility but it's still not really what I'm looking for. I would love a spine but haven't found one yet.
