MamaBearTeacher
My son has acid reflux and today his vomit smelled like coffee. He has not been drinking/eating coffee, tea, chocolate or other caffeinated beverages. He might have grabbed a sip of someone's coffee. The vomit came after a meal of broccoli/cheese stuffed chicken and lightly spiced ginger cake. Could there be another reason for the coffee smell? A reason that is coming from his body? Asker of questions
I had food poisoning where the vomit smelled like coffee even though I had had no caffeinated beverages nor decaf coffee nor chocolate. I think the food poisoning was from a mango smoothie that had sat out for maybe 3 hours. Three hours after drinking it I was in the car and started smelling delicious coffee.I guess it was my own breath. Five hours later I vomited and it smelled like coffee. That was the only “ perc”to the experience!
