bluebonnetgirl
I am looking for a one year grammar program to use for my son's 8th grade year, mainly as a grammar wrap-up before high school. He is coming off of a fairly strong grammar background, and is presently finishing up 6th grade ACE English. I am considering Analytical Grammar or Grammar Key. Would love to hear some feedback. Thanks!
Ethel Mertz
Just to muddy the waters a bit more - Peace Hill Press is finishing SWB's Advanced Language Lessons (ALL). Don't know when it will be out, but here is the relevant thread in case you didn't see it. Here is a list of previous threads on Analytical Grammar. Hopefully, someone will chime in about Grammar Key as I've never seen it.
bluebonnetgirl
Thank you. After more research, I am thinking of a combo (or in sequence) of Killgallon's Middle School Grammar and Fix it Grammar. They seem like they would complement one another and make the shift from straight grammar to applying the grammar skills learned in earlier grades.
