mom2bee Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Where are the kids at? Where are the kids supposed to be at? What about DH? Which appliances were turned on this morning? Who did you promise to call this afternoon? Are you in the middle of applying to anything on behalf of a kid/spouse--is a form due? 1 Quote

Haha...well I did load the crockpot up and about an hour later I noticed I had not plugged it in. Took care of that though. 2 Quote

mom2bee Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Do you have a pet? Perhaps there is something you're supposed to do on behalf of the pet. Is your show on? You know the episode that you wanted to see? Quote
wapiti Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Last month, I had that feeling when I took my youngest two to the dentist, like maybe I forgot to bring one of the other kids back for sealants. Dd recently reminded me that yes, I did forget to take her back to the dentist - last September for a cavity. oops. 1 Quote
Gil Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I forgot my wallet in the store recently. When I went back to claim it I had to wait in line at customer service and since it was a long wait, I told the boys to sit on a bench against the wall. After I finally got my wallet, I left. Fortunately the boys are able to run behind me and say "Daddeeee! You left us!" in indignant tones because I sure did not remember that I was forgetting them as I was forgetting them. I'm sure I would have noticed when I got home and had the house to myself. 3 Quote

SKL Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Yesterday my kids were out of town with an auntie. At one point I was getting ready to get up and holler for them to do something. Eventually I remembered why they were being so quiet. 2 Quote
73349 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Is February 1st the deadline for something? Opening of registration for a summer program? Do you need to buy a gift for Valentine's Day or someone's birthday? Quote
Mom-ninja. Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 but what?! forgot to send me my birthday present, of course. Quote
Miss Tick Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Go into the bathroom, close the door (unless an open door attracts fewer interrupters), set a timer for three minutes and sit quietly. Maybe your brain will re-engage. Or you may doze off, but the timer will wake you, so no worries! If nothing is "on" in the kitchen and your family members are accounted for, whatever it is is probably not crisis-level. Quote
