susanah4 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Any ideas for interesting movies to watch that would go along with MOH Ancient History for a child that has no interest in history? I am trying to make this as painless as possible and I need to add some hours to the course. Quote
MerryAtHope Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 How about some older ones--The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, Cleopatra... The first two levels fit pretty easily in a year too, length-wise--Level 2 readings are a bit longer, but not much. 3 and 4 are better suited to a level per year for high school. How about some historical fiction? Here's a blog post on books I added in. We did MOH 1 when my oldest was in 8th, so you might want to sub in a few more challenging books, but for a student who doesn't have a lot of history interest, many of these could still work. Quote
Holly Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 We added Drive Through History's Holy Land series. I just divided the episodes evenly throughout they year. They jump around too much to attempt to line them up with our history lessons. Quote
Amateur Actress Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 "El Cid" with Charleston Heston & Sophia Loren. Quote
