Gwenny
In an attempt to teach myself algebra, I've decided to give Lial's a try. After searching Amazon, I'm thoroughly confused! Do I want Introductory Algebra (edition 8th or 9th), Beginning and Intermediate Algebra (4th edition), or Beginning Algebra (forgot the edition)? What would be equal to standard 9th grade algebra? EKS
I'm using Lial's Introductory Algebra 8th edition with a student whom I am teaching Algebra I. It is a solid first year algebra text (which is usually taken in 8th or 9th grade).
Gwenny
What about a teacher's manual? Do I need one? I'm pretty dense :confused1:.
OnMyOwn
The solutions manual is really nice to have. Edited January 28, 2016 by OnMyOwn

Mom22ns
You can find links to the student book and the Solutions Manual in the pinned math thread at the top of the High School board.
