EndOfOrdinary Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I was in LD debate in high school. It was fantastic and far simpler than CrossX debate. It required thinking, but not stacks of facts and cards. No racing of the clock. More logical, analytical thought and lots of good rhetoric. 1 Quote
j3mom Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I would absolutely love class like this for my 12 year old DS. As a homeschooler in our area, I find it impossible to join any debate club, they all seem to be school centered. Please offer the class in the fall :-) Quote

Susan Wise Bauer Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Great idea! I talked it over with our headmaster Steve Otto and dean Julia Kaciewicz today, and we're investigating the possibilities. Will keep you posted!! SWB Quote
Arcadia Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I might just put oldest in a debate summer camp for middle schoolers. He needs to debate with someone other than his brother  Ooooo, I'm off to do some googling, but this sounds fascinating! Never even heard of this sort of thing...
