SKL Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Not off to a great start today. I worked until 4:30am. So at least I finished one client's reports (until they start asking questions etc.). I set my alarm for 6:30 like every other school day, but I could not get up until 7:30. So forget about the school bus. My kid got a splinter in her foot. Dr. Mom to the rescue! I spilled coffee all over my clothes. Woo hoo! The kids were probably a minute or two late to class. We'll see if their teacher dings them. Today's list: Work until 4:30am, then sleep. [done] Kids up & ready for school, fed, lunches packed. [done] Splinter surgery. [done] Pay a bill and a donation check. [done] Drive kids to school. [done] A little cleaning in my car. [done] Feed the critters. [done] Clean kitchen and some clutter. [done] Rinse coffee stain off jeans. [done] Work. Sign kids up for museum camp. [done] A little more housework. A little reading. A little exercise? Pay some more bills. Kids' work. Kids to swim team. Walk or work while they swim. Dinner on the fly. Kids to gymnastics. Work while they play. Kids to bed. Work. Edited January 25, 2016 by SKL 3 Quote

To do: School for all Bills Go see a house? It is in the target area, the right price, just horribly ugly. Sign dd2 up for a camp Remind people to check various things online General pickup Find some things for Dh. Sigh. Random other things, like insurance stuff PM practice/aikido Have a great day! 3 Quote

Jean in Newcastle Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 I will probably be popping in on this thread more than usual because I think I need the accountability today of recording things as they happen. So in that vein - Made bed Made and ate breakfast. Figured out if there was a problem with my thyroid medicine. (there wasn't. The script was just written differently than I'm used to.) 2 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Filled all my pill bottles Found the paperwork telling me what needs to be upped in dosage and took care of that (and wrote it on the bottle caps so I can keep up with it) Called in two prescription refills. Next - start up the laundry And take out the shot stuff so that it can come to room temperature 2 Quote

Faithr Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Make sure pets who don't want to go outside in the snow don't poop or pee in the house (this is an important one!) get back into the swing of academics (we've been doing fairly well) Deep clean the grossest parts of the kitchen (done!) Cook a lot (it's snowy and I feel nesty - so unlike my usual self, I feel like cooking!) Read a lot. 4 Quote
MysteryJen Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 So house is not horrible. Actually is much much better than the pics. Back yard is pretty bad, but lots of of other things are good. I am taking the kids to see it this afternoon. Found stuff for Dh. First place I looked. First place I suggested to him to look on Saturday. Signed up dd2 for camp, just need to buy her ticket. Friends sent over a beautiful Edible arrangement for dd1 (congrats for her Trials cut) So day is looking up :) Still have pay bills, though. 3 Quote
SKL Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 So far so good. I have gotten several reports out despite being low on sleep. I even squeezed a wee bit of reading in. I forgot to add that my kids (aka I) need to go buy some toiletries for a service project they are doing at school. I will try to do that in between the kids' activities. I also need to drop off some work stuff at Fed Ex (which is in the opposite direction from everything else). What we are assigned to buy is travel-sized hair conditioner. I'm not even sure we will find this, so this may be interesting .... And my kids are supposed to study for a test that they have tomorrow .... 3 Quote

I would call ahead to inquire. 1 Quote
JustEm Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Well the laundry got done! Oh and school. I call that an OK day. I'll likely manage to clean the bathrooms once the kids are in bed. We'll also clean their room before bed. I guess that is pretty productive for a lazy day 1 Quote
