I would have my son do a few problems in the CWP each day.  We used it a year (or maybe it was a semester) behind.  The IP didn't work well for us, so I stopped using it early on.

I do both CWP and IP a semester behind.  We do one or two pages of CWP a day, and as much of IP as can be done in 30 min.  (Ideally I would like to do both CWP and IP each day, but sometimes I end up alternating - CWP one day and IP the next.)

We assign "Problem-Solving" twice a week and I usually pull from CWP (beginning this year, I'm pulling a year behind).

As for IP...I used it much more in the lower grades, but DS9 hasn't used it much in 3rd and 4th.  I will likely assign quite a bit of the IP for his summer school as review.

He's doing so many math things right now...I have too much.  Beast Academy, all of the Singapore books (including Process skills), Prodigy Math, Khan.  I like having those options to mix it up.

We use the CWP and IP about half a year behind and usually about once a week they will go through one whole section in it but I don't assign all the problems (this way I can use it the first go around for child one and then a second time for child two).  We are mostly using it as review.

Yes FAN is the Process Skills:) I had been told it was easier to use than CWP because FAN teaches each step whereas CWP expects that you know what you're doing and there is no instruction. I'm not sure as I've not seen the CWP but I do like FAN.

Thank you! I think that sounds good for her! Problem solving is not her strong suit yet. We are using Singapore a level down to get her used to the method. I think she could have gone in to 2a at the least, but I wanted to build her confidence up and give her time to mature. We may do the IP AND CWP over the summer.

During the school year, we used only the textbook and workbook. Over the summer I would use the IP books for review. I did not assign all of the problems, only enough to ensure that things were not forgotten. Since the IP book has word problems, I did not find it necessary to buy CWP.

Is there an IP book for Standards or just the US version?

Only for the US version but you can use it with the stardard edition
