ktgrok
Title kind of says it all. I'm eating a lot of broccoli and cauliflower and brussel sprouts and well....they give me gas. Anything i can do to stop the gas while still having the veggies? As it is I can clear a room I'm afraid.
Slache
Get psyllium husk from GNC. Ask your doctor first.
Rosie_0801
Cook them with caraway seeds. Up your probiotics.
kiana
If you aren't already, space out your consumption through the day. Also, possibly try smaller portions of them for now while your system adjusts. When I started eating more of these vegetables I gradually increased the amount. It takes more than a pound at a time now to give me noticeable gas but when I started 1/4 pound gave me gas.
TechWife
I thought this was going to be a thread about how grocery prices are impacted by gas prices. Oh, well! I hope you figure out how to solve your problem, though!
Amy in NH
Those are all brasicas, in the cabbage family, and known to be gas-causing. Maybe try to vary your vegetable varieties, and try some Beano.
Lucy the Valiant
This is my grade-school-boys' primary motivation for eating these food items, sad to say.
Seasider
Your body needs time to adjust. And if you decide to try jicama (which is really good in cold salads and roasted), take it reaaaaallly slow!
ktgrok
Your body needs time to adjust. And if you decide to try jicama (which is really good in cold salads and roasted), take it reaaaaallly slow! LOL, already learned that lesson. Years ago we used to order lunch from California Pizza kitchen at work about once a month. They had a salad that I loved that had jicama in it. I would end up in the bathroom all afternoon every time. Took me forever to figure out it was the jicama.
