umsami Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 DS1 wants to make youtube videos and edit them. Any tips/ideas? Is it best to just let him fool around and figure it out....or are books/classes necessary? Was thinking of trying Wondershare....as it's free...but I really have no idea. The one time I made a youtube video, I think I edited it on my iPad. (Didn't take much.) 1 Quote

Suzanne in ABQ Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I second iMovie. He'll be able to edit videos, add still pictures, background music, text, transitions, etc. There are undoubtedly tutorials on YouTube to show him how to use it. It's quite user friendly. Quote
Carla Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 My sons have used iMovie for years to make stuff for YouTube. They've figured out a lot just messing around with it. Quote
MSNative Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Viva video is another fun one that you can get. I think it is free too. Quote
purplejackmama Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 My son is a YouTuber. I am blown away by his videos and it's all done through iMovie. He's really gotten good and he LOVES it. Quote
