Janie Grace Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I need a pair for dd and they are all SO EXPENSIVE. Any ideas about sources for reasonable snow pants (for skiing)? Thanks. Quote
bolt. Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Thrift stores are really good: they often have a few, and not a lot if people think to check there. 3 Quote
Guest Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Do you have an outlet mall? I got a pair at columbia outlet for forty bucks. Quote
wapiti Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Me too - Columbia store at the outlet mall Quote

AmandaVT Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 TJ Maxx has some nice snowpants from time to time. Lands End has 40% off everything fairly regularly, which makes them a pretty good deal. I think they have 25% off outerwear right now, which is still pretty good. Quote
Janie Grace Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 Closest Columbia outlet is about 2 hours away. :( Quote

I checked LE but the ones they have are supposedly really baggy in the legs and dd is very slim. I don't think the fit will be right. TJ Maxx is a good idea. Maybe Marshalls too. Quote
Soror Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Have you checked out Sierra Trading Co. I was just looking at some there for me(found some for about $25- not sure if they would meet your needs or not). I had bought some for my son a few years back and they were very nice for fairly cheap. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/ Quote
AmandaVT Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I have these (very similar because mine are from 2007) from LL Bean and they are pricey, but they've lasted really well. This is winter 9 with them and they look and feel almost brand new. If your DD is at or close to her adult height, these might be a good choice. They're super comfy too. Quote

Arctix Women's Cargo Snow Pants, Medium, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004W8CN7Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_DCzNwbZS0QV3S I saw those but a lot of reviews were saying they are short. Dd is 5'7" and 110. So she would need small but I worry about gapping in the snow. Quote

Vida Winter Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I get Lands' End boys snow pants on sale. A size 20 in boys is roughly equivalent to ladies size 10. And on down the line. Size 20 boys fits the adults in our family, even the men. 1 Quote

mathnerd Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I go to my nearest SportMart, Sports Authority or Big 5 sporting goods and can usually get the correct size and color that I want for $25 if they are having a winter sale. So, check your local sports stores, they usually have a flier on their website searchable for your zip code. Quote
