Odd realization

You are a super-user. The library should probably put you on retainer and let you provide feedback about issues or improvements. We, like many here, check out what I think must be way more books than the average library patron. We find damage issues, occasional incorrect catalog entries, and ask questions that apparently haven't been asked before. Maybe we could design a sticker for your library card, or a tattoo. Haha.

Ha! Yes. :)

I taught Broccoli yesterday how to walk up to the desk *alone* to let the librarian know a book was damaged and to get it taped (I was watching him from a little distance - he's 5 and the library prefers you don't leave children under 6 unattended).

Our area of the country has a lot of library users and readers.  Our library system is the busiest in the nation.  That said,, for awhile when I was doing research, I did have my own shelf.

Our library recently gave me my own shelf to hold the books I request. My stack never fit in the little space on the regular shelf. I have no idea what will happen as the kiddos get older and I request more books for HS them.

Every time I log in to my library account to search, I get a twinge of nostalgia for the old card catalogs. They were a pain, but it was almost like a warm-up exercise to the stacks.

My little library in my little town still uses their card catalog. Many of the entries are even hand written. :)
